Better Physique With Lesser Efforts
The specs above, that’s Manoj, one of my best friends from college days. We actually met just a few weeks ago, and that too, after 3 years. He is still as dumb as always but I have got to say that he is one of the most hard-working people I have come across in life. I mean, if he weren’t, he wouldn’t have stayed my friend for this long.
The subject of interest is, however, totally
different today. It’s physical health, and the transformation my friend
underwent over the last 2 years is totally unexpected. Just check out his
physique on IG. He’s fully natural, no powder, and living on only
home-cooked desi food. (And no, I am not promoting him!)
We guys have all wanted to have a physique like
that for ourselves at least once in life. But the amount of effort and
discipline that goes into building such a physique is not something that comes
easy. So, I talked to Manoj for how I could gain similar results, because I used
to do basic stretching and some push ups to stay in shape, but they never
gained me ‘the shape’ that just makes you say ‘damn! That’s hot.’
What he suggested was both easy and difficult.
I will break it down for you.
Easy, because you have to cut on all kinds of garbage
you eat. Just eat small portions of rice like those Japanese do, while you can
have almost as much dal and veggies as you wish. I tried that for a few weeks
and I could feel that my body lost fat without needing me to increase the amount
of my daily workouts. The same goes for dinner, I reduced the number of rotis
from 3 to 2. The extra bulge of belly after a meal, and also in general throughout
the day, decreased from the very next day. The fruits should be taken in the
morning and never after 6:00 PM. These were some effortless changes that I made
as per my friend’s guidance that produced immediate results.
Now it’s time for the difficult part. See, that
physique with cuts and real good lean-feel demand a lot of work and discipline.
If you can maintain the diet discipline discussed above, you have already done
80% of the work. The rest of the 20% is daily workouts.
I, personally, don’t like to juggle between a
lot of tricks and techniques being taught out there on social media. If you
want to look the bulkiest or the widest, I am not the one you should listen to.
Anyways, I changed my basic stretching from whatever I used to do to what is
shown in this reel. Believe me, it’s really effective. You have got to do
that on alternate days. And, on the other days, just focus on one part of the
body like legs, chest, shoulders, back, biceps, or triceps. I have myself tried
a lot of things over the years but they all demanded 30 mins and too many reps. But I found
something new that could provide greater results with lesser work in lesser time.
Actually, you just need to break your old
muscles, and eat protein to build more. All slow and steady. I am not sure if
this will work for everyone, but it’s been effective for me, and it demands
less effort. So, here goes the example:
For chest, do those pushups very slowly. Just 5-8 reps. Wait for a few seconds. Then do another set. Repeat this for as many sets as you can. I could do only 5 sets. This will take under 10 mins of time in total. And once you are done, you’ll feel what you never had before with those "20 reps, 3 sets each" technique that gym people profess about. The same goes for the exercise for all the other body parts. Just do it very slowly and do as many sets as possible, even if the number of reps is small. It will kill you. But you’ll be done in under 10 mins. And, eat paneer or soybean chunks for protein intake if you are a vegetarian. Otherwise, you can just have eggs.
I am also experimenting, so I can’t guarantee
anything. But yeah, I am seeing results. And, please stop running. You are a human,
not cheetah. Instead, go for a walk in the evening. That’ll cut your belly fat, but running
will never do that, it’s only going to dehydrate you. I am telling you from
experience.
The things I have discussed above are easy to
implement, and they can gain you a stronger body that also looks strong. But
you need to keep experimenting over time. Just don’t stick to what’s not working
for you. If you want to know more, just reach out to my friend on IG, or
ask me in the community.
